Doh!

Cherie Blair isn’t getting the high quality political briefing she used to receive while living at No 10:

Former British prime minister Tony Blair’s wife Cherie Blair has tripped herself up with her off-the-cuff comments at a school function in a Punjab village and landed in a political controversy.

On Tuesday, Blair had told a gathering at a government school in Dhilwan village in Punjab’s Kapurthala district that Jagir Kaur was a “role model” for others.

Now Khaira wants Blair to know that Jagir Kaur is already facing a criminal trial for conspiring to murder her own daughter Harpreet Kaur in April 2000 for marrying a lower caste boy of her own choice.

Oh dear!

Is not this in line with her statements about suicide bombers driven to doing so because they were poor?

No, David All, but it’s certainly in keeping with Ms. Booth arguing in favour of an underage female’s right to attend a publicly funded school dressed in an all encompassing sack in contravention of the school’s dress code (which was meant to accommodate all minorities) because the underaged female’s “guardians” are her Islamist male siblings.

Palin is such a simp. I don’t think much more of Ms Booth but I can’t accuse her of stupidity.

I don’t know Mar. What’s the greater offene? To be an ostensibly intelligent and well-educated person who is the useful idiot of fanatics, or a poorly educated and not particularly intelligent person who says stupid things? Palin’s religious beliefs give me the creeps, but she’s a fairly ethical person who has been unfairly tarred for having raised cane over the continued employment of a member of the policing authorities who menaced someone with a gun, which was spun an act of vengence against her estranged brother-in-law.

High quality?……Someone has more confidence in the FCO than I do!

No-one is ever misquoted in the press, except someone you’re already motivated to criticise.

Of course the ghastly C. Blair/Booth is stupid. She has low animal cunning, but is still stupid.

It’s as I feared. IQ levels among the famous are falling rapidly. They are ideal material to be useful idiots for Islamism.

Cherie Booth QC has the best starred first for Law ever awarded by the LSE. It ain’t clever to suggest that people you are having a disagreement with as stupid.

There is only one source for this story in the “Times of India” article.

One thing that you can be very sure of is that if “Nearly Oxfordian” suggests somebody is “stupid” then that person comes originally from a lower-class background.
