Mumbai and the ‘US Shadow Government’: Lee Barnes’ latest conspiracy theories

This is a guest post by Edmund Standing of I Kid You Not

Eric has a post about Lee Barnes, BNP ‘legal director’ and all-round loudmouth nutcase. The post looks at Barnes’ response to the Mumbai attacks, which includes ranting about ‘the benefits of diversity’ and ‘the benefits of Multi-Culturalism’, along with the rallying cry: ‘Wrap the dead bodies of these Jihadist scum in pig skins and then bury them somewhere secret’.

Barnes, of course, hates America and Israel as much as he hates Jihadists (whom he hates first and foremost because some of them are ‘British born Pakistanis’, rather than because they are murdering, terrorist bastards with no respect for human rights).

In fact he hates America even more, as seen in this recent post on his blog, for ‘the US are the biggest terrorists on the planet’. Barnes is a ‘troofer’ - he thinks 9/11 and 7/7 were both orchestrated by secret services, duping Islamist pawns into doing their dirty work. It turns out he also thinks Mumbai was planned by a ‘Shadow Government’ and yet again cites loudmouth conspiracy radio host Alex Jones’ infomercial-masquerading-as-a-news-site, Prison Planet.

According to Barnes, ‘false flag operations and operatives’ were behind Mumbai, planned by a ‘Shadow Government’ in America, a front for the ‘US Military-Industrial Complex’, which is co-run by ‘Neo-Conservatives’ and ‘Neo-Trotskyites’.

Here are the essentials of the ‘theory’:

The timing of this attack was planned to allow India to exert strong Military pressure on Pakistan at the same time as the US is bombing Pakistani territory.

This attack on India has resulted in Pakistani troops being moved to the Indian border, which has ensured that less troops are on the Afghan border thereby allowing US special forces more free movement for insurgent operations in Pakistan itself - thereby giving the US more room to attack Pakistani based targets.

The aim of these US air and special forces attacks in Pakistan though is not to get the Taliban - the aim of the attacks on Pakistan is in order to destabilise Pakistan itself for one reason - to remove the Islamic world of the nuclear weapons held by Pakistan.

The actual evidence that the US orchestrated the Mumbai attacks? None.
The basis for the claim? Speculation on ‘who benefits?’

What makes no sense at all is the fact that Barnes talks of the evils of Jihadists while at the same time seeming appalled at the prospect that Pakistan - a country with many Jihadists and supporters of Jihad among its population - should no longer be a nuclear power.

But, then again, this is a BNP spokesman and conspiracy theorist we are talking about, not a serious political thinker (or serious thinker on any topic, as far as I can see).

Then why are you treating him as one? Or is this political porn for the Lefties? What was the last post on this theme, reclaiming from the far right the myth of the British as the Lost Tribe of Israel, wasn’t it? How’s that going?

Blair’s Law:

Does he embrace Global Warming too?

I like Blair’s law. A pity that Britain has the wrong Blairs.

Lee Barnes almost sounds like a modern day “anti-imperialist”? I wonder how long before his view seep across?

I listen to Alex Jones sometimes as its like a spoof of reality.

His theory about Obama is that some new World Govt (Bildebergers, Rothschilds etc) decided that Obama could be manipulated to do their bidding, like someone in a voodo trance.

He observes (as do other) that Obama’s administration seems as conservative as Bush’s. Some are saying that it might be even more right-wing.

All I can say is that what these independent commentators are seeing can’t all be wrong and Obama seems to have thrown the Left ‘under the bus’.

You can see why some nutters could be persuaded by what Jones says because some of his conspiracy theories probably have one or two grains of facts that hook people to believing its all true.

When you are already into “Zionist” conspiracy-land then Alex Jones will just feed you more.

Some folk are so addicted to conspiracies, false flag operations by the CIA, and Mossad intrigues, that it paralyses their thinking tackle. They see Freemasons hiding in plain sight, and fiendishly clever Jewish Svengalis laying their plans for us all.

Mind you, sometimes it is no bad thing when they rush into print. Because they are trying to cast themselves, and the rest of us, as a bunch of credulous, cheerful sturdy peasants, clueless and naive, too stupid to do anything to defend ourselves.

It’s highly insulting, so let him rant on.

On the basis of who benefits one could come up with any explanation. The media benefited from the attacks since it gave them something to talk about and TV ratings went up.

Let’s blame the media for the attacks.

Unwarranted Attention,

Barnes was recently a guest on Radio 4’s ‘Moral Maze’ and the BNP recently gained another councillor. That’s the reason for exposing this guy’s views.

As for ‘Christian Identity’, another British would-be Nazi terrorist with links to the same ‘church’ as David Copeland has just been arrested:

So that’s ‘how that’s going’.

One radio spot on a programme nobody listens to, and one parish councillor.

Not exactly 1933, is it?

I think you actually enjoy reading this stuff, Edmund. I think if the BNP didn’t exist, the lefties would have to invent them.

I don’t understand why people who think like you do bother commenting on articles they consider pointless.

I also don’t understand why anyone would think that exposing the BNP - a party that now gets interviews on Newsnight, Radio 4, and elsewhere - is a waste of time, or that exposing these scumbags equates to ‘enjoying’ reading their trash.

Look at their recent relative success handing out their crap in Liverpool city centre.

‘Thousands of ‘Racism Cuts Both Ways’ booklets and other BNP leaflets were distributed in a co-ordinated day of campaigning in the city centre, which saw the Truth Truck and three other A-frame advertising vehicles sweep through large parts of the surrounding suburbs’ - Merseyside BNP blog

Videos on the BNP site show them doing just this.

Is it not worth letting people know what lies beneath their ‘new image’?

The BNP inflame tensions in communities, deliberately try to foster division, and are beginning to persuade all too many people that they are ’standing up for’ people who feel alienated by the major parties.

By your reckoning, Searchlight magazine is pointless, the work of UAF is pointless, Hope Not Hate is pointless, Love Music Hate Racism is pointless, Trade Union opposition to racism is pointless, and so on.

OK, fine, maybe you think so. But I can’t understand why you could possibly take exception to any effort to oppose organised racism, even if you’re not interested in getting involved.

What is thw difference between the BNPs rancid hatred of Muslims and HP’s? One is motivated by white supremacism the other by zionism (jewish supremacism)

“Barnes, of course, hates America and Israel as much as he hates Jihadists (whom he hates first and foremost because some of them are ‘British born Pakistanis’, rather than because they are murdering, terrorist bastards with no respect for human rights)”

The last line is an excellent explanation of the American and Israeli governments. Some honesty at last on HP

As you can’t read a sentence properly, it should come as no surprise that the rest of your views are equally glib and misinformed. HP hates Muslims? That’s why HP posts against anti-Muslim bigotry. Zionism is Jewish supremacism. That’s why there are so many Arab Israelis then. HP is a Jewish supremacist site? That’s why the next thread but one to this condemns the actions of settlers in Hebron.

When you get in touch with reality, let us know. Until then, don’t bother.

Conspiracy Theories?

When you take a critical and unemotional look at the Terror attack on Mumbai - these animals seem to have taken advantage of the ineptitude and incompetence of India’s own intelligence and security establishments. If so - rather than go into denial and use “cover my ass” tactics shouldn’t India’s priority now to be to use the valuable “Lessons Learned” and use some logical techniques such as “Root Cause” analysis etc, to improve/upgrade homeland security capabilities rather than fooling oneself and clouding the real issues by cooking-up conspiracy theories.

“The Americans funded it, the Israeli’s masterminded it, the Chinese provided cheap arms and ammo, the Pakis provided logistics and some brainwashed Jihadist freaks (who jabbered in Punjabi) executed it and the Russians who knew about all this did not warn us”. etc.

Hilarious? Hey don’t laugh!- these conspiracy theorists seem to be as confused and misguided as the packs of mad dogs that carried out cowardly attacks like 9/11, Bali & Mubai etc. - destroying innocent human life, totally disregarding basic human rights of the unfortunate victims and their families. (Human Rights Busybodies any comments – or is it now the turn for animal rights activists to support the rights these mad dogs).

BTW, probably the biggest wake up calls for Americans were the attacks on Perl Harbor and 9/11. Here are a couple of the most hilarious conspiracy theories associated with these cowardly attacks.

Perl Harbor: “Then President Roosevelt got the naval aviators from the US Aircraft Carriers to paint themselves yellow & scotch tape their eyes to look oriental and paint their planes like Japanese carrier based aircraft (White planes with Red balls) and then bomb the living shit out of the US Pacific Fleet based in Hawaii so that he (Roosevelt) could get America to go to war with the Japs and Nazi Germany”

9/11: “There many clues to prove that the Bush Administration engineered 9/11 so that they can have an excuse to a) have a go at Saddam Hussein b) get their greedy hands on the Iraqi Oil fields c) to declare an open season to exterminate animals like the Taliban in the region d) And in general set the stage to get as many Muslims killed on the premise that “all good Muslims are dead Muslims” and/or “The world will be a safer place if we don’t have rabid Muslims around to terrorize it and kill innocent civilians” etc.
