Anti-Israel demo in San Francisco
As beautiful a city as San Francisco is, when I see photos like these, I’m profoundly (and probably unreasonably) grateful I don’t live there.
All this, and Cindy Sheehan in a keffiyah too.
Note especially the anti-Obama signs at the end.

The fat guy with the ‘every Zionazi is a legit target’ - Flanker in 40 years. The Che cap is worthy of note.

“Flanker in 40 years”
“Another repeat offender showed up: a protester who claims to be Jewish yet who inevitably displays the most blatantly anti-Semitic handwritten signs. On this day, his placards declared, “Every Zionazi Is a Legitimate Military Target” and “Target All Zionist Businesses.” I wouldn’t want to be that guy’s therapist. ”
I would have to convert.

Twice now, no hat tip from Gene.
Shameful.

The usual assortment of anti-Zionist Nazis

The overall issue is foreigners demonstrating on our streets ( Marx was OK in the BM. library) and our home own moonies who would follow the line that dog excretement is a dangered species! Mix this with the moral cowardice of our politicians and Milliband, and police and clergy and you have a dangerous mixture.

Woman I think. She took a couple pictures of me handing out Gene’s Galloway flyers when he game to SF. But I didn’t see her.

The “Proud Union Queer Against Genocide” is obviously stupid… not just because she obviously knows nothing about Hamas’ view on homosexuality, but she can’t even spell “occupation” correctly in Hebrew.

While America is a country with a superb standard of living, when I see videos like this I’m profoundly and reasonably grateful I don’t live there.
(Your outrageous photos represent a negligible percentage of SF’s population. My video represents slightly less than half of all Americans.)
13 January 2009, 2:41 am
I for one am 1 billion percent behind Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran publically hanging children from cranes w/o trial for the crime of being gay or being raped or just being mouthy. If that’s the world the SanFranites want to live in, I hope they get their wish someday.
13 January 2009, 2:41 am
I’m amazed HB finds those photos “outrageous.” Perhaps he’s insulted to see Nazis equated with those damn Israelis.

I tend to agree. Could be wrong though. I thought TheIrie was a woman for a long time. Same with mesquito and Maven (a very angry woman :D). So much for guessing gender by writing style!
13 January 2009, 2:52 am
She used to SAY she was a women. But after a while she got coy about that. I have no idea how to tell from writing styles.
13 January 2009, 2:54 am
There is a web site where a some programs does some word use statistics and tries to guess whether the writer of a website is male or female. I don’t remember what it said about me. I think I came up pretty neutral. I noticed that it tends to guess that most poetry is female - whether it is or not. But guesses the author of Koran to be male with a high confidence.

How the hell would you know?

Josh Scholar: How about respecting the person’s privacy?
13 January 2009, 2:58 am
Oh its worse than that HB.
The majority of Americans are not anti-Israel.
You will probably put that down to Jewish (Zionist, sorry) press manipulation, but so be it.

Josh Scholar: How about respecting the person’s privacy?
Zombie doesn’t mind, dave. They speculate all the time at LGF about Zombie’s gender. No big deal.
13 January 2009, 3:04 am
“Woman I think.”
That is the accepted wisdom, but who knows. S/he hangs out at LGF on occasion and it’s a good place to catch the latest. Zombietime’s little photo essay on Obama’s visit with the wealthy of SF is also worth viewing. That’s the visit of the famous “cling to guns and religion” pronouncement.

-Nah, thats HasbaraBuster. He doesn’t even have to convert.

If America has a ’suberb standard of living’, one wonders why HB types always seek to condemn the country so often.
13 January 2009, 3:50 am
Your outrageous photos represent a negligible percentage of SF’s population.
Certainly a very small minority, I would agree.
My video represents slightly less than half of all Americans.
Wrong.
13 January 2009, 4:13 am
Zombietime’s politics seem to be firmly on the Right; but, hell, who else is documenting this stuff?
13 January 2009, 4:42 am
I think the first “Jews are Terrorist” sign, with those two lovely little girls is pretty frightening.
13 January 2009, 5:20 am
“Your outrageous photos represent a negligible percentage of SF’s population…”
Would HB also state the factual truth that the children who died in Gaza, if any (actually nobody knows yet), represent only a negligible percentage of the Muslim world’s population?
On the other hand it is factually true that the Holocaust killed 1/3 of the world’s Jewish population.
13 January 2009, 6:04 am
Should we read anything into the fact that Gene and David T. have long since ceased addressing the actual war itself, and are pretty much just posting every image of lunatic racists from Europe and North America that plop into their email inbox?
I’ve twice asked how many civilian casualties Gene would accept in pursuit of unattainable goals, and implied he’ll find however many actually do get blown away to be his absolute upper limit. I certainly didn’t expect the answer What casualties, and what goals? Check out the anti-semites!
13 January 2009, 7:18 am
My impression listening to USA news and talk is that these Moonbats get lots of bad publicity and only harden support for Israel.
There is nothing which annoys Americans more than Muslims demonstrating FOR terrorism.
These people make themselves feel better because they are otherwise impotent to make any change or influence anyone.

I can’t speak for Gene or David T but the answer is surely the final total when either Hamas is destroyed or agree to a permanent and durable ceasefire.
So, ask Hamas how many civilians they are prepared to martyr in order to achieve the unattainable goal of being able to fire rockets at Israel.
As the agressor who precipitated this response then they can call a halt by stopping what precipitated it.
Whenever this stops I won’t be rolling the casualty figures around my head. I’ll be grateful that no more civilians will be killed or targetted by Hamas.
The number is irrelevant in the context of what had to be done and what needs to be achieved. We didn’t base strategy on how many civilians were killed in World Wars except to accelerate into bombing Germany to force a surrender. Why not follow the Dresden model?

“As beautiful a city as San Francisco is, when I see photos like these, I’m profoundly (and probably unreasonably) grateful I don’t live there.”
Well Gene, I can only assume you don’t live in London either, judging from the horrific scenes I keep seeing on tv/in the papers here on the far side of the world.
TheIrie et al are obviously male - hysterical, emotional, illogical - how could they be anything else? Like, when you read about unarmed kids being shot dead in a rage attack on a quiet street/in a classroom/in a MacDonald’s, you don’t stop to think, “I wonder if a woman or a man did that” do you?
13 January 2009, 9:20 am
Sorry, I forgot irrational and humourless ;-)

I like to think that I have a good sense of humor to go along with my hysteria.
I suppose that makes me gay, or as near as makes no difference.

Maven said:”My impression listening to USA news and talk is that these Moonbats get lots of bad publicity and only harden support for Israel.”
That is certainly the case with me. I wasn’t an ‘ardent zionist’ until I had to navigate the antisemitic cess pit of the mindless antizionist loons with their ‘haven’t you got an oven to go to’ comments on various ‘Left’ UK sites.
Fuck them they’ve certainly showed whose side they are on and its not mine, my families or anyone else with more than half a brain.
Fash scum.

Has “Ab Fab” ever done a skit on how fashionable keffiyah, Hamas, Hezbollah and antisemitism are?

“Your outrageous photos represent a negligible percentage of SF’s population.”
The Nuremburg rallies involved a small percentage of Germany’s population. The other Germans stood and watched and did nothing.
That was the whole problem.

No doubt he’ll answer this just as soon as you answer when you stopped beating your wife.

Surely these scenes will backfire!!?
Irrespective of the cause, the behaviour is simply ugly. How can people deliberately want to be ugly?

No; I wouldn’t state that because, in fact, nobody knows yet if Israel actually invaded Gaza or it is all a plot by the antisemitic liberal media to further tarnish the Jewish state.

From my limited knowledge, I’d say they are already, as Maven has said.
Irrespective of the cause, the behaviour is simply ugly. How can people deliberately want to be ugly?
Because they are psychopaths? Why would people want to be Nazis? And yet we see psychopathic antisemitism on this blog every day.

I am a pro-Israel, gay, Jewish-by-blood, San Franciscan, & I can tell you that SF is the most anti-Semitic city I’ve ever encountered in America.
However, as a resident who deals with these issues more than weekly, there are two things I think about:
1. Change the channel. Just don’t look at that; there’s plenty more in the city to interact with.
2. These people have no stones whatsoever. Most of them quail at the first words of disagreement, and those who don’t only stare.
So what I’m saying is, carrying signs & chanting in large groups is all they have. This is typical of SF. There are people carrying signs daily, yelling & clapping, expressing their outrage, & thinking that they’ve accomplished something by doing so.
When someone says ‘I love you’ all the time, the phrase loses its value. In the same vein, carrying signs and yelling is the norm is SF, as is sincere, heartfelt speaking for as long as the words are in one’s mouth. The acts lose their value.
So I just don’t look at the scenes or go to the crowds–though I sincerely thank zombietime for doing so–& I don’t worry; these people are flashy & completely ineffectual. Many SF residents are cartoonishly foolish liberals, & I can accept their condemnation, because it doesn’t amount to anything whatsoever. They are not even paper tigers; they are paper pigeons.
Staring & confrontation aren’t fun for me. But their words are shallow, with no commitment behind them.
In the end, it’s a bummer of a show, but it doesn’t matter whatsoever.

Yes, these filthy anti-Zionists should aspire to this enlightened example:
