Calumny

“Friends of al Aqsa” is a dedicated Israel-hatred outfit headed by Ismail Patel of Leicester.

As reported here earlier this year, Mr Patel is an extremist who is considered radical and prominent enough to serve as a national member of the steering committee of the “Stop the War Coalition”; an advisory board member of “Conflicts Forum”, an inveterately naughty ex-spooks’ pro-Islamist lobby; and a Guardian commenter.

Here he is ranting for Hamas and dividing good Jews from bad in London on the 10th of January:

“Hamas is no terrorist organisation. The reason they hate Hamas is because they refuse to be subjugated, occupied by the Israeli state, and we salute Hamas for standing up to Israel.”

“…to the state of Israel: you no longer represent the Jewish people. You have no moral authority to speak for the Jewish people when thousands of Jews are against what you are doing. And finally, to the British Jewish Board of Deputies, shame on you, to work, to promote the genocide of the Palestinian people and the war crimes of the Israeli government. You do not speak for the British Jewry who today have signed in the Guardian against the Jewish government, what it is doing to the Palestinian people. Shame on the British Jewish Board of Deputies.”

The “Friends of al Aqsa” website has a “news” section. This item has appeared this week:

Gordon Brown puts Israel lobbyist in charge of Britain’s Middle East policy

Britain’s prime minister has put a notorious pro-Israel lobbyist in charge of policy in the Middle East, Iraq and Iran, reaffirming his determination to continue with his Zionist policies even as his administration approaches the end of its life.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has appointed an Israeli agent of influence and proponent of genocide in Gaza to a key position at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Britain’s foreign ministry.

On 9 June, Ivan Lewis was given a major promotion in Mr Brown’s government when he was appointed Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office with responsibility for Middle East policy, Iraq, Iran, counterterrorism and Anglo-American relations. According to one source, he is now “just one step away from the cabinet”.

Speaking after his promotion, Mr Lewis said: “My responsibility for the Middle East peace process is particularly poignant. I have never hidden my pride at being Jewish or my support for the State of Israel”.

There’s more on Israeli “agents of influence” from redress.cc, the disgusting site that is the source for the “Friends of al Aqsa” story, here.

Mr Patel’s “Friends of al Aqsa” is considered so acceptable that it can host a seminar in Westminster, with the help of Richard Burden, Labour MP for Birmingham Northfield.

The BNP, another set of racists and fascists, should be so lucky.

This blog has been a repeated target of British Islamist “lawfare”. It does not retaliate in kind.

If Mr Lewis and others subjected to the worst calumny are not so charitable, well, the very best of luck to them.

This makes me kinda sorry Labour has only one year to go. The source of his remarks appears to be the notorious antisemitic rag, the Bury Times. He goes on to say:

[...] Equally, I have always supported a two-state solution which gives the Palestinians freedom, dignity and control over their own lives. I will be working hard with Middle Eastern leaders and President Obama to secure a lasting and meaningful Middle East peace.

You will never guess which website has almost word-for-word regurgitated this defamatory bollox all across its home page?

MPACuk.

Naturally.

Ermintrude, what about rense.com?

Personally I feel this sort of micro-analysis of small time nut jobs is not very helpful especially when it’s presented as a case of “extremists” within Islam.

It’s much more instructive to read posts on Jihad Watch which explain where a lot of these nut jobs get their ideas i.e the Koran, Hadith and interpretation thereof by Muslim clerics over the last 1400 years.

Once you’ve read up on the theology and exegesis you can then make sense of debates within Islam regarding matters such as treatment of hostages, attitudes to the West and cultural battles within Islam over clothing, images and government.

Alec, rense.com is – of course – almost a bible to the makers of MPACuk’s website… much as Mein Kampf was for Martin Tyndall.

(BTW – HP hasn’t put up a post about Bibi’s speech)

Maybe we could arrange a blind date (for those with blind hate) between BNP and Friends of Al Aqsa.

Isn’t Al Aqsa a mosque somewhere in The Jewish State’s capital city Jerusalem?

Ermintrude, what about rense.com?

If you want some sick USA based antisemitism then lookup “DR HESHAM TILLAWI” this guy is REALLY sick.

Hmmm, here’s a powerful and persuasive discussion on Tillawi.

I don’t know whether to thanks you or not, Spectrum and Alec, for bringing to my attention the complete arsehole also known as Hisham Tillawi.

The connections between MPACuk and Duke’s website are, of course, well-worn and notorious. The love-in recorded on Great Wizard of All Twattery Duke’s website between that Nazi and Tillawi is truly puke-making.

All these people are truly repellent.

The UK Libel Laws have taken another step into the abyss and could signal the end of Free Speech. A UK based media club, The Groucho Club which is owned by a billion pound corporation ‘Graphite Capital’ have launched a one of kind High Court action for a pre publishing test case for libel against Tyrone D Murphy, the author of an exposé book about the club. The book has not been completed yet and the case seems to be based on what could be written and not what has been written. http://www.g-book.co.uk is the book web site

What do you make of this type of case where a legal action can be taken against a writer of a book that has not been written yet. This action is certainly a threat against all writers and journalists
