Ahmadinejad: Bog Off, Neturei Karta
Neturei Karta are a strange group of religiously extreme Jews, who believe that in order to persuade the Messiah to replace the Al Aqsa Mosque with the Third Temple, Israel must be destroyed. To that end, they have spent the last few years chumming up to the chap they think is most likely to assist them in their dreams: the similarly messianic nut, Ahmadinejad.
Neturei Karta have had a good run with Ahmadinejad, who has cultivated the tiny group in order to provide him with cover, when people suggest that he might just have a little problem with Jews. They were invited to his Holocaust Denial conference, and enjoyed frequent meetings – including public hugs and kisses – with the puppet premier of Iran.
Now, according to the Hassidic news site Vos Is Neias, the honeymoon is over:
New York – VIN News has learned from high-ranking Iranian officials that a New York meeting between President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and members of the radical anti-Zionist Neturei Karta group was canceled at-the behest of Ahmadinejad himself.
Neturei Karta members reportedly were scrambling to secure a meeting with Ahmadinejad himself during his recent visit to New York for the U.N. meeting. Hope seemed “lost” until the group actually succeeded in arranging for a face-to-face with the firebrand head of state-only to have that meeting suddenly canceled, by no less than Ahmadinejad himself.According to VIN’s sources, it is said that the Iranian president has lost total interest in the Neturai Karta, and views them as zealots with no serious following within the Jewish community.
Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss of Neturei Karta confirmed to VIN News that their group did not meet last week with Ahmadinejad, but declined to provide a reason.
I have to say, I’m not surprised. Ahmadinejad used the Neturei Karta. Neturei Karta used Ahmadinejad. Frankly, relationships based on that sort of exploitative dynamic rarely succeed.

I think that Ahamdinejad is not going to have cut NK loose, even if he snubbed them in NY. The Iranians are not in the least stupid or under-informed, and there’s no way they ever could have believed that NK had any wider following in the Jewish community.
I don’t think there’s any chance that NK will find themselves less than welcome as demonstration fodder on any of the demos organized and supported by the Iranian regime and their local proxies. NK are far too convenient as visual aids to “prove” that they’re not anti-semitic.
Next time Ahmadinejad organizes another Holocaust denial event, they’ll do doubt get invited.
But just now, something’s going on. The Iranian Foreign Minister has just travelled to the USA. Supposedly to visit the Pakistani embassy in Washington which handles their business in the US and not to meet with any US officials, though it’s all agreed and confirmed with the US govt.
So I think we may see some downplaying of the more Grand Guignol side of Iranian politics just at the moment. And a matching silence on the US side at the fate of the Iranian opposition.

….and views them as zealots with no serious following within the Jewish community.
Wow, there is always common ground no matter how different people are. Here’s a point where Ahmadinejad and I totally agree.

If the story is true, then Ahamddinejad’s ditched them because he’s no longer concerned about being acknowledged as anti-Semitic. In fact he’s probably actively seeking that title and NK are a hindrance.

“and views them as zealots with no serious following within the Jewish community”.
Maybe Ahamdinejad isn’t completely barking after all.
Are NK subject to prosecution for treason in Israel?

Perhaps they studied one another’s cherished beliefs and realized that restoring the Line of David and welcoming the Hidden Imam are not compatible. Or perhaps Ahmadinejad’s holding out to meet some Quakers.

“Are NK subject to prosecution for treason in Israel?”
Likely most members of NK are not Israeli citizens and so cannot commit treason. Perhaps a Jewish Star Chamber or Inquisition?

Maybe even Ahmadinejad was appalled by NK’s comment about the murder of the Holtzbergs………..

“Likely most members of NK are not Israeli citizens and so cannot commit treason.”
Most of them are “concentrated in Jerusalem, but also in and around Ramat Beit Shemesh Bet (or B) near Jerusalem, and Bnei Brak”.

So if they are not citizen they should be expelled as enemy-alien

A-Jad is always good for a laugh. But unfortunately now he’ll be forced to exterminate himself.
