Maajid v Anjem
If you missed it, make a a point of watching Al Muhajiroun’s Anjem Choudhry in “debate” – I use that term advisedly – with Quilliam’s Maajid Nawaz.
Maajid’s (ultimately successful) attempts to get Anjem to admit that Maajid would be executed in a Caliphate and Maajid’s (ultimately unsuccessful) attempts to get Anjem to disclose how much he is being paid in state benefits make for a cracking show.
Watch it here at 23:40.

Anjem got absolutely owned and shown up to be the liar that he is. He refused to ask questions over whether he would kill Maajid in his ‘caliphate’ (obviously he would), he refused to answer questions about his benefits, and then even claimed that he had never met Maajid when it is public knowledge that he was Maajid’s solicitor back in the ’90s. what an idiot…his goons must have been pissed cos their leader got shafted

Anjem is a disgrace! He avoided all questions put his way and just kept shouting and talking over everyone else.
Its a well known fact that Al-Muhajiroun is an off shoot of Hizb ut-Tahrir, yet Anjem even denied this!
Well done to Maajid for standing up to this goon and exposing him!

Was it really necessary to invite this unrepresentative loon onto Newsnight to keep bleating on about what “the Muslims” think?
OK, great television entertainment, but I would have preferred to see Nawaz and Tatchell (and a security expert) having a more enlightened discussion about the control/monitoring of such groups, alongside a factual piece about their abhorrent opinions (which to be fair was done by Newsnight outside of the interview.

Well done Maajid Nawaz, please keep on exposing these extremist idiots.

Exactly NeilD the problem with Choudary is a media one. Why does the MSM give a voice day and night to this unrepresentative nutter ? His groups have tiny membership.
I think we should have demos outside TV studios condemning them for giving publicity to this clown as it just whips up anti-Muslim hysteria and racism.

Paxman did a great job by letting Choudhry off the leash – he showed himself to be an infantile dissembling fascist loon with minimal assistance from Nawaz. Just goes to show that Paxman is a master of the light touch as well as the grilling.

The irony of Choudhry drowning out any attempts at rational debate about free speech with his non stop braying was exquisite.

I thought lying was forbidden for devout Muslims.
Well, you thought wrong. When Khomeini was living in Paris, he
assured his gullible french admirerers, that once the Shah was
out of the way, he would settle down peacefully in the holy city
of Qom and leave politics to the politicians.

That Newsnight segment was basically Punch and Judy.
To be fair to Andy Chowdry’s. His self-paradoy, supremacism, and Islamic imperialist aspirations are underpinned by rapidly encroaching Muslim demographics. The UK’s Muslim population has risen by half a million in the last 4 years, largely due to unfettered serial immigration.
20% of the UK’s university attendees are now Muslim.
Expect more vote whoring from the Labour party. I don’t expect this to be covered on Newsnight.
In that vein the Times channels Melanie Phillips, Lord Carey and Mark Steyn.

What is serial immigration?

What is serial immigration?
——-
It is when one person from abroad gets British citizenship, and then by virtue of that progressively gets more and more of his extended family through the immigration system under the family rules. The government tried to crack down on this a while ago by exempting arranged marriages where immigration was considered to be the primary purpose for the marriage. But they had to drop that rule, I think it was challenged in the courts.

Thank you

Many UK Muslims procure spouses from their ethnic homeland; usually Pakistan. These are often relatives, indeed aaround half of British Muslims marry first cousins.
Labour abolished the ‘Primary Purpose’ rule in 1997 – see tendentious BBCesque synopsis

And Oona King went around her constituency telling those constituents of Bengali origin that Labour had abolished the ‘Primary Purpose’ rule to be nice to them, but the Gallowayites were busy assuring the Muslims in the constituency that Oona was giving half her Parliamentary salary to the Israeli Defence Forces to murder Muslim babies.

Totally agree MoreMedia. Sheikh Chuddies is about 95% created by the media. It’s lunacy to give him so much attention.

“I’ve never met you before.”
“You were my solicitor.”
Marvellous stuff!

I love the bit where Paxman says “nutty views” and gestures towards Choudary, then when the gibbering beardie starts protesting says “oh, ‘profoundly-held convictions’ then whatever you want to call them” – class

What an absolute lying toad that Anjem is, I thought lying was forbidden for devout Muslims. Just goes to show these maniacs don’t even believe in sharish principles which they enjoy banging on about.
